Program Session Descriptions

There are four different types of programs that include Pre-Meeting, General Interest, Roundtables, and Sponsored Programs. These different program types are described below. You may choose to submit your program in any one of the four categories. However, if you choose to submit the same content for different types of programs, you should rewrite the program with the separate goals of that program type in mind.

General Interest Sessions

Participants will have an opportunity to choose from hundreds of topics that will be showcased during the general interest sessions. These sessions will be 75 minutes in length and will be featured on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of the meeting. All proposed sessions will be reviewed as a general interest sessions, with the exception of those submitted as hour-long round table discussions and/or pre-meeting sessions. Programs submitted as a sponsored session will be considered in the general interest pool if not selected by the sponsoring group.

Pre-Meeting Workshops

Pre-Meeting Workshops are extended learning sessions which take place on Saturday or Sunday during the Joint Meeting. These sessions are either Full-Day (8:30 am – 4:00 pm, with a break for lunch on your own) or Half-Day Workshops (8:30 am – 11:30 am or 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.) There is a charge for these extended learning sessions. All workshops will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so register early! Depending on the number of advanced registrations, there may be an opportunity to register on-site for some workshops.

Sponsored Programs
